Jay Fort, aka Jay Ant, is a prolific songwriter and performer. He was born and raised in the Bay Area. He started rapping and making beats on his computer at the age of 14. This is an excellent catalog of mainly two hit songs from G-Easy, Far Alone (2014) and No Limit (2017) which represent 91% of the overall revenue.
You can see the bump in revenue from No Limit and how after the spike is has been getting closer and closer to flatline. The last 4 quarters have shown only a slight decline.
If we look at the data by song, as mentioned before the top two songs represent 91% of the overall income.
Far Alone has really stabilized being released in 2014 while No Limit has still been falling but has seen a bump because of YouTube revenue.
If we look at the combined income of Far Alone in more detail, we can see normal continued degradation from all the major streaming providers. Google Play in an anomaly as it was paying for prior periods and Facebook is a new income stream.
We have seen that Facebook and Instagram are proving new sets of revenue streams across multiple catalogs.
We can expect this revenue stream to slightly decline as it is well into flatline but still faces a small decline.
For No Limit, we have already gone through the high and are trending down to its flatline. Again, nothing sticks out here except the additional Facebook revenue and continued Radio play which is great overall.
We project that this will decline slightly over the next three quarters to get into a flatline where we would see the normal slow degradation over time.
Looking further at the analysis of each song we can see that these songs are staying very active and G-Eazy continues to release songs grow his fan base.
Looking at income by country and by provider, there is no abnormal information here. The top countries are the United States with Canada, Australia, and the UK being the top three sub tiers. Income providers are stable across the board as well.
This is a good legacy catalog of G-Eazy songs that should have a long life span. While Far Alone is already in flatline, No Limit still has a couple more quarters to get there. At flatline we can expect a slight decline to continue quarter over quarter. G-Easy is still very popular and continues to release songs and stay active with his last video one month ago already at over 4 million users.
There are no gotchas here in the data so this is a solid performing, but slowly declining catalog.
